Coretta Lemaitre
M.A., B.A.
I’m Coretta Lemaitre, founder of Actual College Prep. I worked as ACT/SAT tutor with The Princeton Review, where I sharpened my teaching and strategy skills. Since then, I’ve built Actual College Prep to give students a more personalized, strategy-based experience.
I’m a Northwestern graduate with Latin Honors, a National Merit Finalist, and earned a perfect ACT score (36). My academic journey has taken me across three continents, supported by scholarships such as the DAAD Graduate Study Scholarship and the U.S. Department of State Critical Language Scholarship. Along the way, I became proficient in five languages and mentored international students through a State Department program.
As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), I also work with students with disabilities, helping them communicate and learn in ways that suit their strengths. Now based in Hawaiʻi with my Yorkshire terrier, Finneas, I bring together global experience, test expertise, and a calm, student-centered approach to help every learner succeed.
